Boy Bawang vs. Captain Bawang

I should have checked if both snacks were made from the same company. Because now im curious.

Is Captain Bawang (Tagalog for “garlic”) an older version of Boy Bawang? And if not, wouldn’t Captain Bawang be curious about his relation to what seems to be a younger version of himself? And where can I get his costume for the next Pinoy Halloween costume party??

I guess we’ll never know.

But holy-garlic-panty Batman there is another super hero in our midst infringing on Boy Bawang’s name… KUMANDER BAWANG: Kalaban ng mga Aswang! (Commander Garlic: Enemy of the Vampires!)

In other garlic news, it appears Bawang is a Malay word. I know this because of a wiki article about an old Malaysian folk tale about two girls named Garlic and Onion: Bawang_Merah_Bawang_Putih.
