Chocolate Hill

Chocolate Hill

I call this piece (of sh*t)…

“Chocolate Hill.”

One day on the province of Bohol I was there,
Looking for an old wise man with long hair.
I was looking for some answers when I reached twenty-one,
After speaking to a spirit through a lady in tongues.
I was told that he’d be living on a chocolate hill,
In Bohol where all the people take vacations to chill.
So I searched in the midst of mountains of limestone,
Hoping not to miss the grassy path to this man’s home.

And as I walked, I found Bisayan treats.
A predetermined trail leading to Sagbayan Peak.
And that’s when I heard the sound of a guitar,
Sounding like it was by Freddie Aguilar.
And there he was telepathically transmitting,
The music in my head that I ended up singing.
He spoke in a Bisaya that I could not distinguish,
So he transmitted magic subtitles in english.

He wants to plant seeds of knowledge in your mind,
To cultivate mountains of Filipino pride.
Don’t go to the Philippines, please stay away,
Or he will try to find you,
And force you to stay.

Fin.
