So what’s sapinin?

So what’s sapinin?

I decided to take a break today and got my “merienda” (snacks) at Jojie’s Pa-initang Bol-anon, a snack shop my cousin Dominic referred me to while here in Bohol.

I had sapin-sapin (left) and another deliciously cremey dessert called “nibulid” (right) which I never had until today.

And what could top this off?

A hot cup of native chocolate or “sikwate“. Also called “tsokolate”. Derived from ground native cacao with no added sweeteners or preservatives added to the original grind. This ain’t Milo or that Nestle shit!

And then I saw this sign…

That sounds as good as it tasted! Food coma never felt so good. Siesta time.
