Types of fans (fan puns)
Your Uncle Albert strikes again, this time with puns as refreshing as a warm breeze from your mom’s pay-pay at church.
Fans are important tools in a Titas trade. They come in all shapes and sizes, from large spade-shaped fans made with dried anahaw leaves, to smaller plastic fans given away during election season or from the pharmacy your Ate Jek works in.
Then there are the next level fans, electric fans. When these arrived they saved the wrists of millions of Filipinos fighting the heat while watching teleseryes or praying during hot afternoon novenas.
Fan can also be used interchangeably with the word “pan” from “pan de sal”, which expands the possibilities of puns for the word.
With this, I bring you the latest and greatest in Filipino fan puns the Philippines, let alone the world, has ever seen. Time to have some fan.
- Who kept Tinkerbell cool when Captain Hook’s aircon stopped working? Peter Fan.
- What comes hot out of the oven, but cool out of the bakery? Fan de sal.
- What is something you slice, and keeps you cool at the same time? Pay-pie.
- What do you call Fast and Furious pan de sal? Vin de Sal.
